Well, I’m back with another review! You can check out my previous one here. Still in love with having a Second Life vacation, I was elated when the one and only SL Hotel Inspector jumped in my DM and invited me to collab!

Harmony Sandalphon and the SL Hotel Inspector at Luxe - Second Life vacation
Posing before a night out. Location: VIP Suite.

So, The Luxe Hotel. We spent two nights at the lavish accommodation, which is part of the huge Luxe LA empire, although secluded in its own sky box, I really wish it had been part of the main roleplay sim. The hotel is large and has the luxe vibe, although there were definitely times some of it felt unfinished, particularly the spa.

The ONLY way to start the day when you’re on vacay. Location: VIP Suite.

There’s lots to enjoy, here’s the rundown;

  • It’s easy to rent a room.
  • A large majority of the furniture is XeoLife compatible.
  • There is an elegant hotel pool.
  • The hotel gym equipment is XeoLife friendly.
  • Easy access to the Luxe LA sims via shuttlebus TP.
  • Luxe LA has amazing points of interest, the aquarium and The Sky Bar are a must-see.
  • The roleplay sim has a very simple but interesting RP HUD (Accept the experience)
  • It FEELS luxurious, as intended.

Travel

One of the highlights for me was the journey to the hotel. Luxe LA International Airport is connected to the mainland, meaning you can fly there. I personally feel this adds an incredible amount of fun and authenticity to the Second Life vacation experience. I want to say a huge thank you to Victoire and Bleze, the owners of Le Chateau Motel, for flying us the full 30 minute journey! We didn’t crash or glitch once and it was super fun, highly recommend their airline.

The Hotel

We explored two of the six rooms available to rent; the standard room and the VIP suite. The decor is absolutely stunning but again, some things felt unfinished. There were misplaced animations and only the standard room featured a XeoLife fridge but it didn’t work. But this is minor, the rooms are perfect for a getaway and extremely affordable. The executive suite sits as the most expensive at 500L per night but the cheapest room is 75L and just as beautiful.

The standard room is classy and cosy, perfect for couples.

As a huge fan of Luxe LA, I will definitely be returning. With a few tweaks, this could really be a sensational addition to the sims.

Thank you again, to the SL Hotel Inspector, for inviting me along. Check out his review here and go follow his Flickr (He made me look super pretty!)
